Two men charged with travelling 81km over speed limit - Broadway

Surry Hills Highway Patrol have charged two men after they were detected travelling 81km/h over the posted speed limit early yesterday morning.

About 12:30am yesterday, two Holden Commodores travelling west on Harris Street Broadway were detected allegedly travelling 131km/h in a 50km/h zone.

An 18-year-old Bardwell Park man and a 19-year-old Bexley man were charged with exceeding speed over 45km/h, drive at a speed dangerous and street racing.

Both drivers were also issued with suspension notices for a period of 14 days.

They are due to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on the 31st January 2005.
