Lamborghini Gallardo

How do you say "Gallardo"? Simple, it is prounced "ga-yardo". You knew that!

Lamborghini, which has a fighting bull as it's symbol, started a tradition in naming it's cars after bulls. The Gallardo is a breed of fighting bull. Will political correctness permit the naming of future models being associated with such a cruel sport as bull fighting? Time will tell.

The Gallardo features a 5-litre V10 engine which produces 368 Kw of power at 7800 rpm. The engine is mounted mid-rear, with the gearbox behind the engine. There's permanent four-wheel drive. Suspension is independent double wishbone. Transmission is 6-speed.

The car's weight distribution is 42% front and 58% rear.

Technology advances include the space frame, utilizing the aluminium technology developed by Audi. There's also "drive by wire" throttle control.
