new BMW 5 series |
||
Remember when BMW was a small manufacturer? Last year, BMW sold over one million vehicles. And 2003 looks like being an even better year for BMW. Being on a high helps projects a positive image, too. It's that positive image which was evident when BMW introduced the new 5 series to the Australian media at the 2003 Sydney Motor Show. The new 5-series features active steering, head-up display and a body shell construction of steel and aluminium. There's a bigger cabin and boot, yet the car is lighter and more economical. Upon introduction, the 530i, featuring a straight-six, is the only model available. Although, the 5-series range will expand in early 2004, when the 525i and the 545i become available.
