Friends, It's, seemingly, back to normal now, with much more news this week. Last week was so quiet, it seemed all the car companies were on holidays! Perhaps they were recovering from the Melbourne and Geneva Motor Shows! Again, the evidence suggests the economy is providing car manufacturers with the best days of their lives. There is an ever expanding choice of models, with still more to come. You wouldn't want to miss it for anything! Warm regards, |

Produced in Italy between 1975 and 1981, the Pininfarina styled Lancia Beta Montecarlo was a mid-engined 2-litre 2-seater coupe. A Spider version was introduced in 1976. Stephen Walker 19th March, 2004 Copyright © 2004 Next Car Pty. Ltd. |

PICK OF THE WEEK After reading the news of this week, which story did you appreciate the most? For me, Volkswagen's new Caddy Life shows what can be done when a company milks it's resources for all that it's worth, to produce yet another new model, which isn't all that new. Using the 'parts bin' is a great idea as it provides options for buyers by expanding the choice of models on offer. That way we all don't end up driving the same car. Badge engineering? No, it's economical rationalism working well, just the way it should! Stephen Walker |
