    ROAD TEST

The Next Car Team has driven some great cars this year. We are mighty impressed with the Freelander, so much so that we rate it #1 amongst small and compact AWD/4x4's. It's an absolute delight, both on-road and off-road. The luxury and auto transmission of the SE make it an even better proposition! And it's difficult to be better than #1!

    EDITOR'S
    PICK OF THE WEEK

After reading the news of the week, which story did you enjoy the most?

This week has been full of firsts for the Next Car Team. We were the first Australian automotive news website to publish stories on new Mini Clubman panels, MG Rover's sale of their parts business, the upcoming release of an AWD version of the new Chrysler 300C, the availability in Europe of the new AWD 5th generation Volkswagen Golf. This week's biggest story, though, was Citroen's announcement of their new C4 coupe and hatchback. Guess who was first in Australia with this story? You're right, we had the images and story up on the web first, by a long shot! As such, we are again excited to be first in the nation! And that makes a great Pick of the Week! ..... read the story
