Friends, Two weeks ago we broke the news about a British proposal to confiscate the vehicles of uninsured drivers. Did you give the topic any thought? How would such a scheme work here? Confiscation of cars can occur in New South Wales if you do a burn-out on 2 occasions. But not if you're uninsured and not if you're unlicenced. And definately not for drink driving offences! Is there justice in confiscation? Let us all know your view, here. Warm regards, |

During the mid-1950's, the Fairlady came along. It was a hit in the USA and the cars future development was linked to it's success in America. You will have noticed how the Fairlady, also known as Datsun Sports, grew bigger and bigger over the years. Today, the Fairlady wears the "Z" tag, just as it has since 1969. Unless your neighbour has an early Fairlady as their superannuation, you probably won't see many in Australia. The vast majority were sold in the USA. But there are some on Australia roads, still! And that's good news! Stephen Walker |
