26th October, 2005 The Volkswagen Multivan Business, now available to order, made its Australian debut at Sydney's 2005 Australian International Motor Show. Offering the ultimate MPV for six people in individual seats, Volkswagen's all-new Multivan Business model brings genuine European-style luxury to Australia. The generous interior of the Multivan Business contains four executive style seats. The 2nd row of seats are electrically adjustable including rake of back, seat height and rake, as well as headrests and belt heights, thigh support, lengthways, lumbar support (horizontal and vertical), allowing optimal passenger comfort and also making it possible to increase the legroom by 85 millimetres. It is these luxurious dimensions that make it possible to hold a conference whilst on the road. The centre console between the second row seats features wooden trim inserts, various electronic controls, storage compartments, cup holders and a built in fridge. The on-board DVD system or if required, external devices such as a laptop or video camera, are connected to a 15 inch monitor built into the roof lining. The Multivan Business also features a Satellite Navigation System with colour display, AM/FM tuner and 6 disc CD changer. Other standard features include front dual airbags and side airbags with curtain airbags front and rear, Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP) with brake assist, four wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), remote central locking, power windows, front fog lights, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors and rain sensing windscreen wipers. The dark privacy glazing, electric sliding doors and 18 inch aluminium wheels underline the extravagant character of the vehicle. The Multivan Business can be ordered with a V6 petrol engine (173 kW/235 bhp) or the five-cylinder TDI (128 kW/174 bhp). A six-gear automatic tiptronic gearbox is standard. Technical
