6th May, 2004 Volkswagen’s all-new T5 model Kombi is all about numbers. The Kombi offers the numbers (up to a 9-seat capacity) - but with abundant space and luxury the only ‘crunching’ won’t be the Kombi’s occupants, it will be the accountant or fleet manager marvelling at this Volkswagen’s low running costs. Now available in Australia, the all-new T5 model Kombi is offered in both short and long wheelbase versions with the 85 kW 2.0-litre petrol engine or 128 kW 2.5-litre turbo-diesel powerplant. Kombi is available as a standard ‘Comfortline’ model and in a ‘Highline’ version that provides an enhanced level of interior trim. Standard across the range are dual front airbags and three-point seat belts for all seats (height-adjustable for window seats), anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic differential lock (EDL), anti-spin regulation (ASR) and engine drag torque control (EDTC). All Kombis also come with air conditioning, CD player, remote central locking, power front windows and power mirrors. Mr Phil Clark, Volkswagen Group Australia’s General Manager of Commercial Vehicles, said: “For those who cater for up to nine people, our new T5 model Kombi offers genuine comfort, large, flat luggage area, low running costs and – best of all – Volkswagen’s German engineering, quality and reliability.” Also, read about the T5 introductionAlso, read about the CARAVELLEAlso, read about the TRANSPORTER |
