Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is presenting
a new concept in leisure travel - the Weekender Package.
The Caddy Life + Weekender Package proves that a vehicle doesn’t need to be
big to accommodate those requiring on-board sleeping space, perfectly designed
for anyone seeking the adventure of a road trip.
Accommodation is the main feature of the Weekender Package, delivered by a
retrofit package fitted to the cargo area, without affecting the space required
during normal day to day usage.
Doubling as a rear luggage cover, the folded bed (1,10 x 2,0 m) is simple to
construct and the special curtains can be attached to the cargo barrier and roof
to darken the sleeping area during the night. There is also a blind on the rear
window and specially designed storage bags can be used to cover the side
windows. If you require light during the night just switch on the two lights
installed in the roof.
Another main feature of the package is the tent, which simply hangs from the
opened tailgate and offers enough space (2,3 x 2,0 m) for a camping adventure.
The Caddy Life + Weekender Package features a 1.9 TDI diesel engine with an
output of 77 kW.
