Volvo Cars' Child Safety Manual Best In Sweden
29th October, 2007 | |||
Children & Cars - Volvo Cars' manual on child safety - has been awarded "The best information manual in Sweden" in 2007. The booklet with Volvo Cars' crash test dummies portraying parents and children won the Swedish Publishing Award 2007 at a prize ceremony in Stockholm. The jury supported its decision by saying: "For an information manual that conveys a vital message with an ingenious metaphor." "Brilliant news! And it is especially nice that the important message of the manual - how children may travel safer in cars - is being highlighted," says Malin Persson, Safety Communications Manager at Volvo Cars and editor of the booklet. Children & Cars was launched by Volvo Cars earlier this year. It has been translated into 10 languages and is now distributed to dealers all over the world to spread the important knowledge on what Volvo Cars sees as the best way to protect children in cars. For example, Volvo Cars recommends that all children should travel in rear-facing child seats for as long as possible, at least until 3-4 years of age. The Swedish Publishing Award, founded by Populär Kommunikation, was presented for the 15th year running. Awards were presented in 21 different categories. Volvo Life, the magazine for Swedish Volvo customers, was nominated in the Customer magazine category. Agenda Magazine was nominated in the in-house magazine category. |
