Volvo S80, XC70 and XC60 MY 2009 to MY 2010 fitted with
a 2.4L diesel engine are subject to a recall. Some 1,217 vehicles are involved.
A worn auxiliary belt tensioner may lead to excessive noise, immobilise the vehicle and cause loss
of power-steering assistance.
Owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by letter (where possible). Otherwise owners
should contact a Volvo dealer to have the auxiliary belt tensioner replaced.
Affected vehicles are identified with the following VIN:
S80 - 106231 to 132907
XC70 - 065139 to 093003
XC60 - 028508 to 127483
