Toyota has, once again, launched new Corolla hatchback and
sedan models. The new models are in addition to the existing Corolla Ascent hatch and sedan.
This year's Corolla Ascent Sport hatch and sedan have 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, new
aerodynamic features, improved audio equipment and added interior features.
Toyota offers Corolla Ascent Sport as a hatchback and sedan, with the choice of manual or automatic
transmission and eight exterior colours.
The manufacturer's list prices* (MLP*) begin at $22,490* for the six-speed manual transmission hatch
and sedan models*.
The new Corolla Ascent Sport's additional specification (over and above Corolla Ascent hatch) begins
with 16-inch alloy "Blade" wheels from Levin ZR, with 205/55R16 tyres in lieu of 15-inch steel wheels.
The 16-inch alloy wheels and lower-profile tyres improve handling by increasing the vehicle's spring
constant compared with the 15-inch diameter steel wheels.
In addition, Corolla Ascent Sport hatch has front fog lamps, Ascent 'Sport' badge and an aerodynamic
kit consisting of a front spoiler and a larger rear spoiler.
Eight exterior colours are offered: Glacier White, Silver Pearl, Graphite, Ink, Wildlife, Shimmer,
Tungsten and Tidal Blue.
Inside, Corolla Ascent Sport hatch has the new Gen Y audio head unit with monochromatic LCD display,
amber backlighting, joystick, single CD player, Bluetooth™ phone hands-free capability, Bluetooth™
streaming functionality, USB connectivity and 3.5 mm input audio jack.
It also has cruise control, a luxury gearshift knob and luxury steering wheel with audio and
multi-information display controls.

A 12V accessory socket is fitted as standard equipment in place of the out of fashion cigarette
lighter.
Corolla Ascent Sport sedan has 16-inch Ultima "Blade" alloy wheels, rear spoiler, front foglamps and
Ascent 'Sport' badge.
On the inside, the sedan has the added features of cruise control, luxury gear knob, luxury steering
wheel with audio controls and Gen Y audio head unit with the same features as the hatchback model.
Eight exterior colours are offered: Glacier White, Silver Pearl, Graphite, Ink, Wildfire, Shimmer,
Marine and new Blue Metallic. (Metallic paint is available as an additional-cost option.)
All Corolla models have vehicle stability control and traction control as standard equipment.
