Impreza's Impressive Tally |
2005 Subaru Impreza RS |
8th June, 2005 The Subaru Impreza has passed the 70,000 sales total in Australia. Subaru's small car has achieved big things since its launch in 1993, including several motoring organisation Best Car awards. The turbocharged Impreza WRX and WRX STI variants are also now widely regarded as automotive icons - the small car with a big heart. Impreza has taken Subaru Rally Team Australia to nine consecutive Australian Rally Driver's Championships. In the World Rally Championship Impreza has won three Manufacturers' and three Driver's titles for Subaru World Rally Team. Impreza's All-Wheel Drive grip on rally stages has highlighted its road-holding ability and inherent safety to great effect. Impreza is now available in multiple variants including the GX, RV, RS, WRX and STI, spanning a price range from $23,990 rrp to $56,630 rrp. Constant refinements with the progress of each model year have helped maintain interest in Impreza, highlighted this year by the success of the WRP10, the first locally developed limited edition. The WRP10 follows the success of a series of WRX-based Clubspec Evo models. Safety, driveability and reliability are frequently quoted by Impreza buyers as reasons for purchase - underpinned by Subaru's unique combination of horizontally opposed Boxer engine and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. |
