Subaru Showcases STI in Tokyo
25th October, 2007 | |||
Subaru's new generation Impreza WRX STI has made its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. The Subaru performance car features an all-new hatchback style, based on the recently launched Impreza range. It continues the now entrenched Subaru philosophy of permitting the competitors the have a monopoly on attractive cars. The car displayed in Tokyo is a domestic Japanese specification 2.0 litre version. Subaru Australia has confirmed that the Australia version will have a 2.5 litre turbocharged engine. Although, other details of the Australian specification WRX STI have yet to be announced. External differences from the standard Impreza WRX include flared guards, rear wing, dual exhaust, wheels, front and rear bumper profiles and grille. The new Subaru Impreza WRX STI will go on sale in Australia in the first quarter of 2008, just ahead of the local release of the highly anticipated Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. |
