Subaru achieved record August sales of 3,101
vehicles, according to official VFACTS figures released yesterday.
The figure included an all-time record 986 Impreza sales, further emphasising
the strength of the small car market.
Impreza sales were a massive 96.8 per cent ahead of the same month last year.
Subaru's overall figure is 16.7 per cent ahead of the same month last year
and gives the brand a market share of 3.8 per cent year-to-date.
Strongest performer was Forester, the best seller in the SUV Compact market,
with 1,045 sales.
There was other good news across the range with Liberty achieving an August
record of 675 units.
