SsangYong has unveiled its concept utility vehicle at the 2011
Geneva Motor Show (3rd-13th March), continuing the company's new design cues.
The new SsangYong Actyon utility, based on the new concept vehicle, is likely to go on sale in Australia
and across the globe from early 2012.
It is expected that the new SUT1 based utility will be powered by a Euro 5-compliant engine similar to the
114 kW/360 Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged common rail diesel engine used in the recently released Korando compact
SUV and be equipped with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
The Actyon Sports will continue to be offered in both two and four-wheel-drive format.
SsangYong Motors Australia general manager, Jeff Barber said the new SUT1 concept has a more contemporary
look and styling that is less polarising than the current Actyon Sports.

"The SUT1 concept has styling that will find ready acceptance in today's dual cab ute market," said
Jeff Barber.
"Australia is the fourth largest market in the world for utes and it is a very crowded and competitive
sector. However, with the next generation SsangYong Actyon I believe we will have a vehicle that will become
a real force in the dual cab ute category."
"Like the Korando this is another new SsangYong that can sell on style as well as substance, but the new
Actyon Sports' beauty will be much more than skin deep," he said.
The SUT 1 concept has the same dimensions as the current Actyon Sports ute, boasting an overall length of
4,965 mm, a width of 1,900 mm and is 1,755 mm high, with 3,060 mm wheelbase.
It will be a dual cab ute in the same ilk as the current Actyon Sports with a large deep load tray.
