Smart Heading To Brooklands
27th May, 2007 | ||||
Smart customers and enthusiasts of the brand will be participating in a huge Smart celebration taking place at Mercedes-Benz World, Brooklands, England, on Saturday 28th July. Doors open, on what could be the largest gathering of Smart cars in Europe, at 10 AM, with a range of engaging and entertaining activities starting at noon, including test drives of the new Smart Fortwo. Visitors will be able to enjoy Smart-related brand displays, driving attractions, boutique accessory stands, and access to all the facilities at the innovative brand experience centre. Al Young, Chairman & Managing Director of the Smart Club, said: “We’re delighted that this year’s main UK gathering of Smart drivers will take place at Mercedes-Benz World. Last year’s Smart Rally to Brighton started from this exciting venue shortly before it opened to the public. We had so much positive feedback that we decided to hold an entire Smart event there in 2007.” Dermot Kelly, Managing Director, Mercedes Car Group, added: “Previous Smart gatherings in Britain have attracted more than 1,500 cars. We’re confident that the added draw of Mercedes-Benz World and the chance to test drive the new Smart, will entice even more of the Smart community to join in.” Kelly continued, “We’re encouraging our retailers around the country to host their Smart customers and set up convoys to converge on Mercedes-Benz World.” Mercedes-Benz World will also be open to the public on 28th July. |
