Renault Australia has confirmed that the new Clio GT is coming!
Following the introduction of the Clio range, including the range-topping Clio R.S.200 EDC, Renault Australia will
soon introduce GT versions of the model aimed at customers who want a sporty look, but who are not in the market for
the performance of an RenaultSport model.
Clio GT 120 EDC’s sporty exterior features a front bumper incorporating wide-set LED lights, a special rear bumper
design, twin exhaust tailpipes, body-coloured side protective mouldings with dark metal insert, dark metal door mirror
housings, extra-tinted rear glass and special 17-inch wheels, plus GT badging beneath the Renault logo at the front and
rear.
New Renault Clio GT 120 EDC can be ordered in an exclusive Malta Blue finish.
Inside, the bolstered, sport seats boast specific upholstery with GT-branded head restraints. The upper part of the
dashboard features a speckled grey finish, in addition to grey trim highlights. The two fixed EDC gearshift paddles are
mounted behind the leather-trimmed sports steering wheel.

Clio GT 120 EDC is exclusively available with the TCe120 EDC powertrain. This 1.2-litre 120hp turbo engine delivers
peak torque of 190Nm and drives through six-speed dual-clutch transmission. With this powertrain, Clio GT 120 EDC’s
combined-cycle fuel consumption rating is just 5.2 litres/100 km, equivalent to CO2 emissions of 120g/km.
Developed by Renault Sport Technologies, Clio GT 120 EDC’s chassis incorporates features specifically designed to
provide a keener handling edge than the core Clio range: the front springs and dampers are respectively 40% and 30%
stiffer, while the bump stops have been adapted accordingly.
Clio GT 120 EDC’s multi-mode R.S. Drive function allows drivers to choose between a number of power steering
calibrations and accelerator pedal and dual-clutch automatic transmission mappings. In ‘Sport’ mode, acceleration is
more responsive and gearshifts are faster.
Commenting on the confirmation of Clio GT, Justin Hocevar, Managing Director Renault Australia, said: “We have been
delighted by the successful launch of the award-winning Clio in Australia and we are confident the Clio GT will add a new
and very appealing dimension to the range.”
“Australia is a strong market for sporty models and the new Clio GT is aimed at a customer looking for a slightly
sportier driving experience than the standard Clio.”
The new Clio GT will go on sale in April 2014.
