2004 Renault Clio Dynamique A new sporty 3 door variant! |
Renault Australia has added a new model
to the Clio range - the 1.6-litre three-door Dynamique.
This sporty new addition to the Clio line-up fits between the five-door
1.4-litre Expression and five-door 1.6-litre Privilege and also complements the
high-performance 2.0-litre Clio Renault Sport. As with all Renaults, the Clio Dynamique has an extensive standard
specification list, including climate control air conditioning, 6-speaker AM/FM
stereo with single CD player, dual front adaptive SRS airbags, driver and
passenger side SRS airbags, anti-lock brakes with brake assist, power windows,
remote central locking, trip computer, steering column mounted audio controls
and alloy wheels. The Dynamique is powered by a 1.6-litre engine matched to a five-speed manual
transmission. The 1.6 16V (K4M) engine develops 79 kW (110bhp) at 5,750rpm and delivers a
maximum torque of 148 Nm (15,7 mkg) at 3,750rpm, with 90% of this available from
2,500 to 5,500rpm. This engine has been equipped with a 4-into-1 exhaust
manifold to optimize its consumption. This 16-valve engine is lively and responsive with a very linear feel, free
from flat-spots at low and medium speeds. With this level of power, the
Dynamique emerges with a strong character for sporting driving or long journeys.

Renault's Australian Clio line-up:
|
Renault’s world-renowned passive and active safety standards are prominent in the Clio Australian range, setting the benchmark for the compact segment. All models come equipped with ABS braking with EBD, adaptive driver and front passenger front SRS airbags, driver and front passenger side SRS airbags, front seat belt pretensioners with load limiters, front and rear anti-roll bars and anti-intrusion bars fitted as standard. Renault’s cutting-edge technological advances are evident across the line-up and the new Clio benefits from the company’s extensive research and development resources. The Dynamique gains Renault’s intelligent front and rear wipers and an electrically assisted power steering system. The interior of the Dynamique reflects the designers’ intent to create an ambiance of substance and quality, while emphasising ergonomics and ease of use. The soft-feel dashboard and high-grade finishes add to the overall impression of refinement and clever positioning of key elements such as the centre console, lower dashboard and instrument cluster – housed in a double-rounded binnacle to mirror the exterior styling – enhance the driving experience. The new Dynamique is keenly priced at just $23,490 (plus on-road costs), making it an attractive proposition for anyone seeking a sporty entry into the Clio range. Renault's Director of Operations, Rudi Koenig, was pleased to add the new Clio Dynamique variant to Renault's Australian range. “The Clio has been one of our most popular vehicles here in Australia. The new Dynamique offers an additional option for potential purchasers, and its sporty good looks and lively 1.6-litre engine should ensure its success." Mr Koenig said. |
