Renault, Nissan and GM terminate Alliance Discussions
|
|||
General Motors, Renault and Nissan announced overnight that they had agreed to terminate discussions regarding a proposed alliance among the three companies. The decision reflects what many observers, including Next Car's managing editor Stephen Walker, recognised. And that is that the successful alliance between Renault and Nissan and the not-so-successful management of General Motors have each management team looking at the future in different directions.
The decision doesn't effect the deal between Renault and General Motors
which sees GM build Renault vans in England. The Renault vans are manufactured
by both General Motors and Renault and are sold in the UK and mainland Europe
by Nissan, Renault and Opel or Vauxhall dealers. |
