  • Nissan's all-new large SUV
  • 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine
  • Two-wheel-drive or all-wheel drive
  • Seven seats as standard
  • Five-Star ANCAP Safety Rating

The new Nissan Pathfinder is now on-sale in Australia.

The all-new Pathfinder encompasses new styling and provides improved aerodynamics whilst maintaining SUV dynamics.

Pathfinder is offered in three grades, ST, ST-L and Ti with each grade available in either two-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive.

With its lightweight monocoque body, Pathfinder is powered by the Nissan VQ35 V6 petrol engine, coupled with the next generation X-TRONIC Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) in all grades.

With its new levels of refinement and technology, the all-new Pathfinder retains the nameplate’s ability for driving both on and off the bitumen, with Nissan’s ALL MODE 4x4-i system with electronic 4WD selection. A transfer case is not available with the new model, hence a low range is not available for selection during difficult four-wheel driving.

The Pathfinder has an innovative and flexible interior for all passengers, with seven seats in all grades, Tri-Zone Climate Control and, in the Ti grades, Tri-Zone Entertainment System. In the Pathfinder’s roof, again, occupants are taken care of with both a sunroof (front) and panoramic glass roof (rear) available in ST-L and Ti grades.

Access to the third row of seating is easier than ever thanks to the innovative EZ Flex™ Seating System featuring Latch and Glide™ Technology^^. Simply lifting a lever activates the second row seat’s slide function, providing a wide berth to the third row seating, which is also reclinable.

Features such as Nissan’s Advanced Driver Assist™ Display (all grades) and Around View™ Monitor (Ti grade) offer the latest in technology at exceptional value, delivering on Nissan’s promise of ‘Innovation and Excitement for Everyone’.

Six airbags, including front to rear curtain airbags, highlight safety features that recently ensured all grades of the all-new Nissan Pathfinder were awarded a Five Star ANCAP Safety Rating.

The Pathfinder also has versatile storage capability, with four grocery bag hooks, four cargo floor hooks, an under-floor storage area available even when the third row of seats is upright, an illuminated luggage area and a whopping 2,259 litres of storage space when the second and third row seats are folded flat.

The all-new Pathfinder represents great value, with pricing* starting from just $39,990* for the Pathfinder ST 2WD.

“Nissan is excited to debut the all-new Pathfinder in the Australian market in what is a complete makeover for one of our most recognisable nameplates,” said Peter Jones, Managing Director and CEO, Nissan Motor Company Australia.

“This large, family-focussed SUV is packed full of innovations that cater for all passengers in all three rows of seating. This Pathfinder truly has something for everyone.”

“This all-new model boasts great styling both inside and out, while maintaining the Pathfinder’s adventurous capabilities.”

“The all-new Pathfinder is without doubt a fantastic addition to Nissan’s strong SUV line-up.”

The all-new Nissan Pathfinder is manufactured at the Nissan facility in Smyrna, Tennessee in the United States.

Performance

All grades of the all-new Nissan Pathfinder are powered by the VQ35 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine, which produces 190 kW of power and 325Nm of torque. The engine is teamed with Nissan’s Next Generation X-TRONIC CVT.

All three grades are available in either two-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive. ALL MODE 4x4-i System, controlled by a rotary dial, can be switched between three modes, 2WD (drive directed to front wheels, for better economy), AUTO (system monitors all four wheels to distribute the ideal amount of torque between them) and LOCK (for all-wheel drive, permanently engaging drive power with a 50:50 torque split between front and rear wheels at speeds below 40km/h).

The Pathfinder’s suspension gives a smooth and secure ride both on and off-road. It features independent strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension. Steering is a speed-sensitive electric power steering system.

Hill Start Assist also offers added confidence on all grades, preventing the vehicle from rolling backwards as the driver releases the brake pedal and applies acceleration.

Eighteen-inch alloy wheels feature on ST and ST-L grades, with 20-inch alloy wheels on the Ti grade.

Safety systems as standard include Vehicle Dynamic Control, Traction Control System, Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Brake Assist, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, front speed sensitive variable intermittent wipers, automatic on/off headlines with twilight detection, Nissan Anti-Theft System vehicle immobiliser and six airbags.

Rear view camera with predictive path technology is also included in ST and ST-L grades, with this technology included in the Around View™ Monitor system featuring in the Ti grade. Reversing sensors are fitted in all grades.

Equipment

From trip computer to 4WD torque distribution, the new Advanced Drive-Assist™ Display presents information right in front of the driver – helping to minimise time looking away from the road. Standard across all grades, its intuitive 3D depth and tilt design help drivers take in information more quickly.

Also standard across all grades is Bluetooth hands-free phone system, cruise control, Tri-Zone climate control, i-Key remote keyless entry (with memory on Ti grade), roof rails, privacy glass in the second row, third row and rear and halogen headlights with manual levelling.

The Pathfinder includes an adjustable tilt and telescopic steering column, manual on ST grade, electronic on ST-L and electronic with memory on Ti.

For flexibility in both carrying passengers and providing storage options, the second row of seats is split 60/40 and the third row 50/50 in all grades of the all-new Pathfinder. There are also ten cup holders, six bottle holders, four 12v power outlets and an under-floor storage compartment behind the third row of seats as standard.

The second row seats offer an abundance of functionality and adjustment, with recline, headrest adjust and slide that can offer additional leg room to third row seating occupants. The second row also includes ISOFIX^^ child restraint anchorage. The third row seating also includes recline adjustment.

The front seats are heated in ST-L and Ti grades, and also include cooling in the top specification Ti.

Also in the Ti grade is Tri-Zone Entertainment, 13 Bose speakers and a rear tailgate with power open/close linked with Intelligent Key.

Front sunroof with manual sunshade as well as panoramic glass roof with power sunshade feature on ST-L and Ti. Front fog lamps integrated into the bumper also appear on ST-L and Ti grades.

An Option Pack is available on the ST-L grade to add Premium Bose audio system, Around View™ Monitor, Satellite Navigation, 8-inch Colour VGA LCD Front Display and 9GB Music Box.

All grades include three year/100,000km warranty, 24-Hour roadside assistance programme and myNissan Capped Price Servicing - applies to the first 12x10,000km scheduled service intervals for up to six years/120,000km (whichever comes first) and some exclusions apply.

Towing

The all-new Pathfinder boasts a towing capacity rated to tow 2,700 kilogrammes (subject to the laden mass of the vehicle, driving conditions, fitment of any accessories or towing equipment limitations including the maximum tow ball download).

With Tow Mode, a feature that can be easily engaged by the push of a button, smooth and constant acceleration is provided when towing.

When driving uphill, the Transmission Control Module (TCM) may suppress the ‘upshift’ by using gear ratio control to maintain engine RPM in a high torque range for climbing. When starting from a standstill, the TCM may select a lower gear range to assist the acceleration while towing. When driving downhill, the TCM may strengthen engine braking by controlling gear ratios to assist in controlling downhill speed.
