Nissan GTR Order Book Stands At Over 100
10th November, 2008 | |||
Nissan’s new GT-R – the anyone, anywhere, anytime supercar – has sold up a storm in its first few weeks’ pre-sale in Australia. Since order taking began on 9th October, more than 100 GT-Rs have been pre-sold as customers rush to secure their part of Australia’s performance car legacy. The Nissan GT-R, which is eclipsing many previous super car benchmarks around the world – and consistently wins comparisons with the world’s allegedly finest – and hitherto fastest – production coupes, has struck a chord with Australian automotive enthusiasts. Priced from $148,800 (RRP), the Nissan GT-R is poised to become an instant classic. It will be sold and serviced at 11 exclusive Nissan High Performance Centres in each capital city when it goes on sale locally next April. Nissan Australia, Managing Director, Dan Thompson said the Performance Centres experienced a surge of customer interest following disclosure of specifications and pricing. "The early customer reaction is fabulous and we have secured enough production to ensure that no-one who wants an R35 GT-R will be disappointed." "More than 5,500 have already been sold in Japan alone since it went on sale there late last year. And remember, Nissan only builds 1,000 GT-R’s per month at the Tochigi factory in Japan." |
