Morgan indicate that their highly satisfying, yet quite traditional, 4/4 model is virtually sold out until the end of 2008. As a result, they have temporarily suspended accepting any further orders for this model – in due course they will provide further information relating to their model line-up for 2009, their Centenary year. There is still availability on +4 and Roadster models. These new Morgans are available for delivery during 2007 and 2008. Charles Morgan has indicated there will be substantial technical changes to the traditional Morgan models for the 2009 model year. This is to comply with the latest homologation requirements, including passing the new 80 km/h rear impact test required in the USA. Customers should expect the much loved and iconic traditional Morgan styling to be retained as far as possible, but placed on an evolution of the superb modern Aero 8 chassis. The company has opened a waiting list for 2009 production slots! Morgan began it's long history by building a three-wheeler in 1909. In 1936 the first Morgan 4-wheeler came along, thus commencing the 'modern' history of one of the world's oldest car companies. With this background, the year 2009 should be quite a year for Morgan enthusiasts. The big question is, of course, who is going to be first to get a 2009 Morgan? | |||||
