The major Triton news is the introduction of a petrol automatic version of the
highly successful GLX-R double cab ute from this month.
The 3.0 litre 24-valve V6 petrol engine develops maximum power of 133kW at
5250 rpm and 255Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. Previously only available with a five-speed
manual transmission this stylish sports ute now also comes with an optional four-speed
automatic transmission. The optional transmission has the following ratios:

The GLX-R has a unique sports grille, body coloured front and rear bumpers and
wheel-arch flares, a chrome nudge bar and bash plate, chrome sports bar, chrome
exterior power mirrors, soft tonneau cover, unique 16” X 7” rims, side steps,
privacy glass and unique badging. Inside, leather-wrapped steering wheel,
gearshift knob and transfer lever, titanium-look instrument panel and air vent
surrounds and unique sports seat trim set the vehicle apart.
The auto GLX-R will be available for $38,990 and will complement the manual
petrol version at $36,990 or the manual diesel version at $38,990.
