26th March, 2006 Australian trades and delivery people have regarded the purposeful and reliable Express Van as one of their favourites for many years, and this light commercial vehicle will continue winning customer hearts as Mitsubishi releases its upgraded SJ Express Van with enhanced specifications and styling. Mitsubishi have kept the clean lines and aerodynamic body on Express, but a closer look sees the introduction of a new 2.4L SOHC 16-Valve electronic multi-point injected engine. This enhancement ensures this hard working vehicle has more than enough power and torque to get on with the job whilst continuing to remain filler-friendly at the petrol pump. The new engine is Euro 3 compliant and produces 84kW of power at 5,000 rpm and 188Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. The 2.4L is also LPG compatible. |

Other mechanical changes include a taller final drive ratio (4.625 vs 4.875 previously) and larger radiator capacity (up to 1.5 Litres from 1.25 litres). In a choice of three wheel base variants, the new Express is available in Externally, an extra choice is added to the existing paint palette. 'Denim Blue' will now be available along with Solid White, and Solid Beige. |
Inside, the clean and minimalist lines are continued throughout, with high-grade seating and lumbar support to ensure the driver has a comfortable working environment. Overall, the enhancements ensure that one of Australia's favourite no-nonsense light commercial vehicles continues to up the ante with versatility, reliability and first class manoeuvrability, whilst maintaining its economy and safety. Pricing (RRP) remains unchanged at
