Mitsubishi has concluded a deal with Avis Australia that will see 2,500 of
its Mitsubishi 380s introduced to the Avis Australia car rental fleet between
January and December, 2007. Mitsubishi's General Manager, National Fleet and Diamond Services, David
Conway, said that this latest deal showed that Avis had great faith in the
380. "Mitsubishi has re-positioned its complete product range to offer customers
the best value in every market segment in which we compete and Avis has
included the multi award-winning 380 because they believe it does offer good
value in the large six-cylinder models." "Avis will take a mixture of 380 models continuously throughout the year and
customers renting from Avis will get an opportunity to see just how well the 380
performs on the road and at the petrol pump." "No other large car offers the same level of standard equipment as the 380
including ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and a RISE (Re-Inforced
Innovative Safety Evolution) bodyshell to safely cocoon occupants in the event
of an accident. The 380 is also backed by our industry leading 5 year/130,000km
bumper to bumper warranty and 10 year/160,000 non-transferable drive-train
warranty, which means great piece of mind for our customers" Mr Conway said. Avis Australia's Director of Fleet, Mr Cress Dawson said "the 380 has a good
reputation for reliability and durability and that means that the operating
costs will be low. The car also provides our customers with features that they
want, including power windows on all four doors, automatic, air conditioning,
power driver's seat, AM/FM audio with CD and MP3 compatibility and many safety
related features." "We have had a great relationship with Mitsubishi in the past and we are
really looking forward to getting the first 380s on to our fleet early in the
New Year" Mr Dawson said. |
