Mitsubishi Motors at the 2004 Paris Motor Show |
The new Mitsubishi Colt CZT will debut at this years Paris Motor Show |
16th July, 2004 Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) is returning to its roots. Banking on its motor sports and engineering heritage it will demonstrate at the 2004 Mondial de L´Automobile in Paris (25th September to 10th October), the true meaning of “Mitsubishi Motors DNA” with a display of new products including:
In Paris, Mitsubishi Motors will display a full set of performance cars for
the track (2004 Dakar winning Pajero* Evolution, 2004 Lancer WRC) and for the
road. The latter will include the 2004 Lancer Evolution VIII, the all-new 3-Door
Colt CZ3 and Colt CZT as well as the equally new Outlander Turbo. Colt CZ3 Its unique styling and specific exterior panels (except for the bonnet) set a precedent in the segment, for not being a mere derivative of the hatchback, but a stand alone model. Shorter, with a faster windshield, lower roofline, more sculptured body section, wide sills, longer doors and teardrop rear quarter windows, Colt CZ3 also represents a more dynamic expression of New Colt´s One-Motion design theme. At the rear, the reference to the CZ2 concept is even clearer with the same rounded and faster tail. Colt CZT In parallel, the new 3-Door Colt will also appeal to a young crowd of enthusiasts with the “Colt CZT” variant, exclusively offered with a turbo-charged version of Mitsubishi Motors´ MIVEC Turbo DOHC 16 valve intercooled 1.5 litre engine, developing 150 hp and 210 Nm. More than an all-out sports car, Colt CZT was developed by MMC - at the
specific request of Mitsubishi Motors Europe - and styled at Mitsubishi Design
Europe, as a sharp & chic runabout, with spirited performance (0-100 km/h in
8”0 / 210 km/h top speed*) and tasteful design. Outlander Turbo A true “Mitsubishi Motors DNA car”, the 2005 Outlander Turbo will bring high performance and tasteful (re)styling to a discerning audience, complementing Outlander´s acknowledged attributes of attractive design, good dynamics and fine fit & finish. Powered by a de-tuned version of the Lancer Evolution VIII´s 2-litre 4 cylinder 16 valve DOHC turbocharger & intercooled ECI-MULTI 4G63 engine, Outlander Turbo will reward its driver with 202 hp and 303 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 7”7 and a 220 km/h top speed*. Outlander´s low centre of gravity, permanent 4-wheel drive, 4 wheel disc brakes, multi-link rear suspension and 215/55R17 tyres will allow for a full use of this type of performance. Subtly and suitably modified (round fog lamps, air intake on hood,
body-colored bumpers & side moldings), Outlander Turbo will sport the same
face-lift as all 2005 Outlanders (new headlamps, inner grilles, bumpers,
tailgate, rear spoiler, side airdams, alloy wheels, etc). Inside, it will also
benefit – among other features - from an exclusive black leather / Alcantara®
upholstery. |
