Milestone for Mercedes-Benz Light Commercial Vehicles
|
|||||
Following on from the launch of the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, another milestone has been reached in the story of Mercedes-Benz light commercial vehicles. There are now more than 30,000 light commercials from Mercedes-Benz on Australian roads. The brand began selling in Australia’s light commercial vehicle market in 1998. “This is another reason to keep celebrating after the launch of the all-new Sprinter,” said Ken Matthews, managing director for DaimlerChrysler commercial vehicles in Australia. “We are delighted with the growth and progress Mercedes-Benz has made in the Australian light commercial vehicle market. Having 30,000 models from our range on Australian roads clearly indicates the reputation our products have in such a demanding marketplace.” It’s not only the Australian market that has shown confidence in the Mercedes-Benz light commercial range. DaimlerChrysler has, too, with the recent announcement that the standard warranty on all new-model Mercedes-Benz Sprinters has been increased from 3 years/100,000km to 3 years/200,000km**. “The core values of reliability, safety and comfort are common to all products from the Mercedes-Benz stable and our range of light commercials embodies precisely this philosophy. Our new warranty underlines this even further,” said Matthews. The momentum for Mercedes-Benz will only build further with the following good news for buyers in the light commercial van segment. “In keeping with our celebrations, we’ve decided to extend our new 3 year/ 200,000 km** warranty to the Mercedes-Benz Vito van range from now until the end of the year,” concluded Matthews. **Vehicles used as public taxis retain a 3 year/100,000km warranty. |
