28th December, 2004 Mazda Motor Corporation has announced the release of the limited production model of the Axela Sport, "Sound Leather Limited." This model went on sale last week at Mazda, Mazda Anfini and Mazda Autozam dealerships throughout Japan. Based on the sporty "20S" or "23S" of Axela (named "Mazda 3" outside of Japan), "Sound Leather Limited" features quality and further sporty equipment. It comes with upgraded interior equipment including the genuine brown leather seats, the door trims matched to the seat color and the BOSE® audio system well-tuned and optimized for this model. Its exterior reveals the special items, such as discharged headlamps, gloss-painted aluminium wheels and painted door handles and the exclusive body colour, "Carbon Gray Mica" to create a dashing atmosphere. The limited production run of 600 units of the Axela Sport "Sound Leather Limited" will be produced. Axela Sport "20S" or "23S," equipped with 2.0-litre or 2.3-litre DOHC engine and four-speed Activematic automatic transmission. Special equipment - Genuine brown leather seats and synthetic leather door trims matched to the seat colour - BOSE® audio system (including high power digital amplifier, 6 speakers and one woofer) - Discharged headlamps - Exclusive gross-painted aluminium wheels (16-inch wheels for 20S-based model; 17-inch wheels for 23S-based model) - Painted door handles - Piano-black painted steering spokes - Body colours - Mazda's new "Carbon Gray Mica" is exclusive to this limited edition. Another colour choice is "Snowflake White Pearl Mica" (which is an option). - BOSE audio system - Includes a five-channel digital amplifier and four 6.5-inch neodymium-magnet speakers (two installed on front doors and two on rear doors), two1.5-inch tweeters (installed on each door mirror garnish), and one 5.25-inch box-shaped subwoofer (installed under the passenger seat). The sign "BOSE SOUND" lights on in the instrumental panel when the accessories are turned on. |
