Mazda B Series Bulks Up |
22nd March, 2005 Mazda’s 4x4 B Series diesel range now looks tougher and performs better having received a number of upgrades including wider wheels and auto-locking hubs. The changes include the addition of 15x7 alloy wheels and 265/70 R15 tyres - improving grip on road and off - wheelarch over fenders, as well as the automatic locking/remote free-wheel hubs. These upgrades apply to all DX grade standard cab, Freestyle cab and dual cab models. Valued at more than $1000 the revised DX diesel 4x4 models are priced only $200 above the superseded variants, improving the B Series’ outstanding value. Further emphasising B Series value, for a limited time, the B2500 4x4 standard cab diesel is priced at $28,990 Driveaway. It also comes with a range of additional features that include air conditioning, an alloy tray, ladder racks, two toolboxes and a bull bar. The entry B Series model, the petrol-powered two-wheel-drive standard cab, is priced at $19,990 Diveaway and also includes air conditioning, an alloy tray, ladder racks and two toolboxes. Mazda Australia’s national vehicle sales manager, Vinesh Bhindi, said: “After a record breaking year in 2004, the B Series is poised for a repeat performance this year. “The value offered by the specification improvements made to the diesel 4x4 single cab, freestyle cab and dual cab models ensures that the B Series remains a great workmate and outstanding value”. Last year Mazda Australia sold 5,706 B Series models and expects to sell close to 6,000 this year. The B Series helped Mazda to a record high of 55,560 sales in 2004 and the company anticipates 60,000 retails this year. |
