8th September, 2004 The revised B Series range, which goes on sale this week, offers class-leading value with the Bravo line-up now coming with a free Boss pack and driveaway pricing on all models. Priced from $19,990 driveaway, the Boss pack on 4x2 models offers a range of essential tradesman tools - air conditioning, alloy tray, ladder racks and two tool boxes - while 4x4 vehicles also receive a free alloy bull bar. The updated B Series range incorporates a host of upgrades that includes dual airbags on 4x2 models with bucket seats, while all Bravos have a CD player as standard. Other changes include revised interior trim on Freestyle and range-topping SDX models, new rough-pattern tread tyres on Single Cab, Freestyle and DX specification Dual Cab 4x4 models and new colours including Titanium Grey, Black and Blue Pacific. SDX models also feature new-look alloys, a lidded centre armrest console with dual compartments, three cupholders, a fuel lid opener and a new-style retractable ignition key. The upgrades, Boss packs and driveaway prices will provide further market momentum to Mazda’s commercial mainstay, which is already enjoying a substantial lift in sales. To the end of August Mazda has sold 3927 B Series vehicles, an improvement of more than 10 per cent on the same time last year. The managing director of Mazda Australia said: “The combination of these product improvements and the value offered by the Boss pack and driveaway pricing makes the B Series a class leader. “Add to this its refined on-road performance, a powerful and economical turbo diesel and the 4x4 vehicles’ offroad ability and the B Series becomes the standout buy in the commercial market”.
