Mazda 6 Raises Value Benchmark
17th July, 2008 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Mazda is dropping the price of the mid-size Mazda 6, as the ultra competitive Australian new car market continues to force manufacturers to offer value-for-money. From now, the Mazda 6 range features a price reduction of between $1,750 and $3,920, depending on the model. The new Mazda 6 range now kicks off at $27,990 (RRP) for the Limited sedan, making it $1,750 better value. At the top of the range the Mazda 6 Luxury Sports hatch is now priced at $42,990 (RRP) with Activematic transmission, delivering a $3,920 drop to new car consumers. "We're making it even easier for Australians to enjoy the Zoom-Zoom delights of owning a Mazda 6," said Mazda's local Managing Director, Doug Dickson. Mr Dickson said the decision to improve the Mazda 6 value equation even further is about maintaining Mazda's promise to Australian new car buyers. "We are committed to offering Australians the most Stylish, Insightful and Spirited vehicles we can at the best possible value we can." "The original Mazda 6 revived the moribund medium car market in 2002, and we want to maintain our leadership position with the new Mazda 6." Mr Dickson also said that existing owners of the second-generation Mazda 6 would benefit. "We will reward existing Mazda 6 owners for their loyalty with a goodwill package consisting of free scheduled maintenance, or free scheduled maintenance and an extended warranty, which effectively reduces the cost of ownership."
