Mazda 5 Space Wagon to be Launched at 2004 Paris Motor Show |
24th August, 2004 Mazda Motor Corporation will use the upcoming Paris Motor Show for the world premiere of its all-new space wagon “Mazda 5” (European version). Mazda 5 is the company’s fifth new-generation global product, following Mazda 6, Mazda 2, RX-8 and Mazda 3. Fulfilling the promise of the Mazda MX-Flexa concept revealed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, the new Mazda 5 will put packaging innovation and driving enjoyment into the space wagon segment around the world. Designed from the inside out, Mazda 5 will provide space wagon comfort and a unique “6 + One” packaging concept that provides flexible space in the vehicle’s centre. As such, individual markets will be able to configure the vehicle for up to seven passengers or provide seating for six with additional storage capacity. In line with Mazda’s Zoom-Zoom promise, Mazda 5 will deliver a fresh exterior design with two, wide-opening sliding doors and driving dynamics that customers have come to appreciate from all Mazda new-generation vehicles. Four powertrains will be offered to satisfy diverse global needs—two petrol engines and, developed specifically for European markets, two common-rail turbo diesel engines. |
