3rd August, 2005 Mazda Australia’s glowing sales records continued for yet another month as the company clocked up 5,325 retails, the most ever sold in a July. Mazda has achieved record-breaking results every month so far this year and looks set to continue this trend resulting in another best-ever year. Last month’s result saw the company improve by 14 per cent on July 2004’s previous record of 4,666 retails. This is even more impressive, given that Mazda Australia is currently swapping over many of its vehicles to their new facelift models. The company’s best sellers Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 continued to perform strongly with 2,825 Mazda 3’s sold while the runout Mazda 6 also sold 1,038 vehicles. Mazda 2’s sales continue to grow as the facelift model goes on sale and stock levels begin to increase. RX-8 has also benefited from an increase of stock recording 106 retails. The Bravo continues to perform well with 470 retails. Mazda Australia’s National Vehicle Sales Manager, Vinesh Bhindi, said: “With the increase of stock and the arrival of facelift Mazda 2 we are very pleased with our July result. The next couple of months also promise to be big with the arrival of the facelifted Mazda 6, the new Mazda 6 MPS and the all new MX-5. This should ensure that we are on target to achieve the 63,500 sales target that we have set ourselves.”
