Maserati will launch its fastest, lightest and most powerful
model in its range when it takes the wraps off the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale next month at the Paris
Motor Show (2nd-17th October 2010).
Inspired by the motor sport versions of the GranTurismo, the Trofeo GranTurismo MC and the race-winning
GranTurismo GT4, the two-seater Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale will feature razor-sharp handling and will
be able to break the 300 km/h barrier on appropriate race tracks.
The GranTurismo MC Stradale responds to thoughts for a GranTurismo which can balance on-road driving
needs with race-driving desires, incorporating the handling and aerodynamic lessons from Maserati’s three
racing programmes.
The GranTurismo MC Stradale produces more aerodynamic down force without producing more aerodynamic drag,
it produces more power – 336 kw (450 hp) – without using more fuel and it is more agile without sacrificing
the GranTurismo S’s ride quality.
The Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale will go on sale in Europe in early 2011 before an Australian and New
Zealand launch in the third quarter of 2011, when local prices and specifications will be announced.
