Lexus has launched a new sports-inspired IS 250.
The new Sports Package adds unique 18 inch split five-spoke alloy wheels, satellite navigation,
aluminium pedals and sports suspension.
Furthermore, the Sports Package, based on IS 250 Prestige grade, also gains leather-accented seat
material over the alcantara material of the previous Sports model.
The Sports Package also offers a significant saving in recommended retail price compared with the
previous discontinued Sports model grade.
Two IS 250 Sports Package options are offered, with recommended retail price starting at $62,990*
for the manual transmission and $65,490* for automatic transmission.
This compares with $71,276* for the previous Sports grade automatic model.
Lexus chief executive John Roca said that the all new Sports Package brings greater value to customers.
"With the introduction of our IS F performance sedan, we've seen growing demand for sports oriented
Lexus models, and the IS 250 Sport satisfies this demand," Mr Roca said.
"The new IS 250 Sports Package has enabled us to offer all the features that customers desire, at a lower
price point."
"The Package also benefits from the recent upgrades to the whole IS line, including a revised manual
transmission which now offers faster gear changes," Mr Roca said.
*Recommended retail price, unless otherwise stated, excludes
dealer delivery and statutory charges and optional extras.
