Land Rover is introducing a stylish new Premium Pack for their new Freelander 2, as well as new upgrades and options for the 2008 model year. The new Premium Pack delivers both exterior and interior enhancements to the top specification Freelander 2 HSE. Vehicles with the new pack are distinguished by a distinctive rear spoiler, body-coloured bumpers and doorsills, and stylish tungsten coloured door handles. In addition the pack also includes 10-spoke Chrome Shadow 19 inch alloy wheels, giving the Freelander 2 an even sportier stance. Interior additions include a new eight-way adjustable driver seat and six-way adjustable front passenger seat as well as luxurious, perforated leather panels and extra stitching details. The storage box located at the rear of the centre console also gains a smart new sliding cover. For Freelander 2 SE models a new Style Pack is available, featuring Bi Xenon Headlights with automatic leveling, new 17" alloy wheels and an auto-dimming interior mirror. The Technology Pack, available on the HSE model only, has also been upgraded for the 2008 MY with the addition of a Dolby Prologic II 7.1, 14 speaker surround sound system. Launched earlier this year, and new from the ground up, Freelander 2 delivers outstanding on-road performance as well as the class-leading off-road ability of a true Land Rover. It is already a multi-award winning vehicle, having picked up prestigious motoring accolades in the UK, USA, Ireland and Austria. "The Freelander 2 demonstrates Land Rover's dynamic design, with a smart and spacious interior, and an abundance of advanced technologies complete the package," says Phil Popham, managing director, Land Rover. "Now, the Premium Pack on the Freelander 2 offers subtle changes for those seeking an even more premium look to their vehicle, which we believe will give it even wider customer appeal." The all new Freelander 2 has been awarded a top five star rating, for occupant protection in the local New Car Assessment Programme. Previously, the Freelander 2 had been awarded five stars for adult protection, and four stars for child protection, in Euro NCAP tests. Designed and engineered by Land Rover at Gaydon, near Warwick, Freelander 2 is built at the Halewood plant in Liverpool, where outstanding build quality has been acknowledged with a JD Power European Plant Quality Gold Award in 2005. |
