Land Rover sales in the UK for May 2010 were 3,040 units, up 64
per cent on the same period last year. Sales for the year are strong, up 60 per cent year to date with a total
of over 20,000 sold.
Sales have been improving consistently since the launch of the 2010 model year range – which boasts the
latest, most efficient, and technologically advanced line-up for Land Rover in its history.
Range Rover is the strongest performer showing a 121 per cent improvement in vehicle registrations. The
Freelander 2 continues to be the best-seller with a 60 per cent improvement versus May 2009 and a 77 per cent
increase year to date.
Discovery 4 is up 87 per cent, Range Rover Sport up 58 per cent and Defender is up by 32 per cent.

UK share of off-road market in May is 26.9 per cent up 5.8 per cent.
Globally, Land Rover sales are up 42.3 per cent for May 2010 versus 2009 with 15,181 vehicles sold. Sales are
up 36.5 per cent year to date. All global markets have shown an increase versus May last year.
The top five markets for May 2010 (versus May 2009) are:
UK: 3,040 - up 64 per cent
North America: 2,935 - up 24 per cent
China: 2,026 – up 104 per cent
Italy: 1,133 – up 25.9 per cent
Middle East & North Africa: 812 – up 28.7 per cent.
The Land Rover Freelander 2 continues to be the brand's best-selling model globally, with sales up year to date
by 23.3 per cent with over 23,000 vehicles sold.
