Kia Carnival Saves Money |
17th June, 2005 The June issue of Choice magazine has warned its readers that choosing the wrong people mover could result in a low speed accident costing nearly twice as much to repair than the class leading vehicle, the Kia Carnival, and thats just because vehicles are in the same new car price category doesn't mean they will cost the same to repair. Quoting research into low speed accident repair costs - the sort of accident that is most common for people movers as they do battle in car parks, shopping centres and on the school run - carried out by the NRMA, Choice magazine reveals that the Carnival has the lowest repair costs in the standard test, both as a total cost and as a percentage of the Carnival's new car cost. The second result is particularly impressive as its rivals all cost more than the Carnival. The Kia Carnival's notable result is further enhanced by the fact that not only are its repair costs nearly half those of its worst-case rival, the Kia Carnival also undercuts the repair costs of its nearest new car price rival by nearly half, with the parts for the Carnival costing almost half those of its rival. Added to the Kia Carnival's outstanding result is the fact that during the two years since the NRMA last completed this test, all its rivals have increased their repair costs, while the Carnival's have actually gone down. "These results confirm, yet again, why the Kia Carnival is Australia's number one people mover," says Edward Butler, General Manager of Kia Automotive Australia. "Not only is the Kia Carnival the best value for money people mover to buy, based on price and specification, we have also ensured that it is the lowest cost people mover to own. Thanks to the hard work by our parts department, the parts required to carry out the repairs in this test are nearly half the price of its nearest new car price rival. These low repair costs also affect insurance and provide yet another positive reason for owning a Carnival." |
