KIA TO UNVEIL NEW CARNIVAL (SEDONA) |
6th February, 2005 Kia has provided a sneak preview of the next generation of Australia's number one selling people mover, the Kia Carnival. The new model will debut at the 2005 Chicagp Motor Show, next week. The new model is expected in Australia in early 2006. The all new Kia Carnival is larger than the existing vehicle in all directions, including length and wheelbase. It will boast a more powerful engine than its key rivals and will be equipped with a third row of seats that fold flat into the floor. Kia has confirmed that the new Carnival will be available in both a long and short body version - the additional length will be in the tail, providing a bigger boot. "As Australia's number one people mover, the announcement of a new Carnival is very important," says Edward Butler, General Manager for Kia Automotive in Australia. "The concept picture reveals that the new Carnival will match the style of the Sorento and new Sportage, while the choice of two bodies and a new more powerful engine makes it clear that Kia has no plans to surrender its hold on the Australian people mover market!" |
