Keating Looks Abroad
31st December, 2008
Following a successful media launch, in England, on St George’s Day, Keating Supercars continued
development of the UK specification SKR with a number of upgrades and modifications. These included
modifications to door hinging, new design door mirrors, a new fascia lay out and the building of a
supercharged SKR 520 model.
With a deteriorating economic climate in the UK and throughout Europe, Keating Supercars has now
taken the decision to concentrate further development on export markets in line with local importer
feedback. Specifically this includes re-engineering for alternative 3 litre V6 power, associated
transaxle and incorporation of appropriate systems such as ABS and digital instrumentation.
Although existing SKR options will remain available for domestic and European customers, the new
export specification – which will have a lower purchase cost and is currently code-named JV6 – may
also be made available subject to demand.
