Joss ..... a new Australian car for just a few
Making it's first public appearance at the 2004 Melbourne Motor Show is a brand new Australian designed
and Australian built car ..... billed as a super car ..... the Joss.
Matthew Thomas, the man behind Joss, first penned the Joss concept about 6 years ago. When looking at
the car in the metal and, even, on paper ..... a compelling feeling of admiration and excitement is felt.
Formula One technology, composite materials, superb aerodynamics, high performance
..... these are all features which will excite any performance car enthusiast.
Look at these points:
- Australian designed, Australian built 6.8 litre V8 exclusive to Joss
- Power: 350 kW (500 bhp) at 5,750 rpm
- Acceleration: 0-100 km/h = 3.7 seconds
- Top speed = 320 km/h (estimate)
- $400,000 price tag (approximately)
Now that the car is sparking interest, the hard work really begins. Sure the car is designed, but
it has to be manufactured and marketed.
With a target of 25 cars per year, the investors and the intending buyers need to be convinced that the
Joss is a goer (so to speak). That will be the difficult part.
