25th May, 2005 Jeep has moved to further boost the sales momentum of its popular mid-sized four-wheel-drive Cherokee model with the introduction of a limited edition Renegade Extreme Sport package. "Jeep is known for delivering rugged, versatile vehicles with real four-wheel-drive power and on road refinement and the Renegade Extreme Sport package builds on this heritage," said Gerry Jenkins, managing director, Chrysler Jeep Australia. “The limited edition package amplifies the model in the style stakes plus represents exceptional value. “Combined with the performance of the 2.8-litre diesel or the powerful 3.7-litre petrol engine, the limited edition is a very tempting package,” said Jenkins. The Jeep Cherokee Renegade Extreme Sport features 16 inch “Mechanica” alloy wheels, black roof rails, painted body colour bumpers and grills, a rear cargo organiser, leather wrapped steering wheel with cruise control, spare wheel cover and unique exterior accents and trim. With its additional features the Jeep Cherokee Renegade Extreme Sport adds $2,000 of extra value for no additional cost. The limited edition is offered with either a 3.7-litre petrol (150 kW of power, 307 Nm of torque) or a 2.8-litre common rail diesel engine (120 kW of power, 400 Nm of torque). The Cherokee is also available with a 2.4-litre engine in the Sport package. Five colours (black, silver, light khaki, patriot blue and inferno red crystal) and 476 Cherokee Renegade Extreme Sport models will be available. Pricing
