Honda is giving Australians a sneak peek of its new Legend at the 2005 Melbourne International Motor Show.

The Legend features the world’s first Super Handling All Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system and Honda’s latest 221kW SOHC-VTEC V6 engine.

Although not due for sale in Australia until later this year, the four-door sedan’s sleek exterior and high-tech interior is certain to whet show-goers’ appetites with a blend of performance and comfort.

The Legend’s Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive System (SH-AWD) is the first and only all-wheel drive platform that automatically distributes the optimum amount of torque not only between the front and rear wheels but also between the left and right rear wheels.

The system delivers class-leading cornering performance and cornering stability as well as enhanced traction on dry or wet surfaces.

The Legend’s 3.5-litre VTEC V6 engine has 221kW and 352Nm torque coupled with a 5-speed sequential shift automatic transmission.
