Honda Australia has launched the new, fourth-generation, Legend sedan
with the most powerful road-going Honda engine ever and a revolutionary
Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive system for exceptional handling and driving
prowess.
Powered by a 3.5-litre V6 VTEC engine with 217 kW and 351 Nm, the Legend
achieves a fuel economy figure of 11.8 litres per 100km and meets Euro-4
emissions controls.
A five-speed automatic with Sequential SportShift, paddle shifters and Grade
Logic Control ensures perfect harmony with engine revs at all times and in all
conditions.
Honda’s new Super Handling All Wheel Drive (SHAWD) system is a world first,
varying torque not only between the front and rear wheels, but also between the
left and right rear wheels for surefooted handling on all road surfaces.
The Legend is equipped with state-of-the-art safety features, including
front, side and curtain airbags, an Advanced Compatibility Engineering
structure, fold-out headrestraints, Vehicle Stability Assist, ABS brakes. Debuting on
Legend is a new Honda Pedestrian Pop-Up Bonnet system designed to reduce
pedestrian head injuries in an accident.
Further enhancing the Legend’s safety features is the Active Front Lighting
system, which swivels the headlights when the steering wheel is turned, allowing
the driver to see further around corners.
The Legend also has a host of luxury features, including heated leather
seats; two driver’s-seat memory settings; power seats, windows and mirrors; a
GPS-linked dual zone, dual more climate control and a reversing camera.
Honda’s new Legend will be on-sale from 18th September.
The Legend is available in one variant from $74,500 (RRP) and is comprehensively
equipped, featuring:
