Honda Australia has smashed yet another sales record with the company posting its best ever September result.

VFACTS figures released this week show Honda recorded 4,535 sales for September, up 22 per cent over the same month last year.

Honda is in fifth place on year-to-date sales with 40,995 units, up 13 per cent compared with last year. Honda’s market share is currently 5.7 per cent for the year.

The Thai-built range starred for Honda in September, with the Civic (1,356) and the Jazz (915) performing strongly.

Honda’s new luxury Legend debuted during September and began well with 43 sales. Honda’s sales target for Legend is 200 units in 2006.
