Honda Australia Pty Ltd has recorded a
consolidated profit of $81 million after related income tax expense on revenue
of $1.6 billion for the financial year ended 31st March, 2006.
Announcing the result yesterday, Honda Australia Senior Director Lindsay Smalley
said that the profits were driven by an increase in sales volume of all Honda
products distributed in Australia and a buoyant Australian dollar.
Honda’s Motorcycle, Power Products and Marine business contributed
significantly to the overall result, with an excellent performance across all
segments.
Mr. Smalley said “Honda Australia looks forward to continuing this very
positive trend through strong on-going sales of our broad and popular product
range”.
