Honda Australia underlined its commitment to the “fun of the drive” by
unveiling a sports variant of its Accord Euro sedan and a facelifted S2000 at
the 2006 Melbourne International Motor Show.
The limited edition Euro Sport is based on the entry model Euro and gains:
- Curtain airbags
- Driving lights
- Exclusive alloy wheels
- Sports body kit
- Black chrome door handles
- Black window surrounds
- Sports grille
- Alloy gear shift
- Red dash illumination
- Leather and cloth sports seats
- Carbon look trim
The Honda Accord Euro Sport is limited to 1,200 units and is on sale from 9th
February, 2006. The Accord Euro Sport is priced at $37,500 (RRP) for a six-speed
manual transmission and $39,500 (RRP) for a five-speed automatic.
Updated S2000
Honda’s S2000 roadster has been freshened for 2006, gaining new 17-inch
wheels, drive-by-wire throttle for precise engine response and Vehicle Stability
Assist for safer cornering. The S2000’s price remains from $72,590 (RRP).
Changes to the S2000 include:
- New 17-inch alloys
- Vehicle Stability Assist
- Drive-by-Wire throttle
- Speakers mounted in the seat headrests
- Revised trim garnish
- An additional colour: Bermuda Blue
