Honda Sets Yet Another Sales Record |
1st June, 2005 Honda Australia has overturned yet another sales record with the company’s best ever May result. Honda sold 3,876 units during May, up from the previous record of 3,078 set last year. The Euro sedan was the highlight selling 783 units and not far behind was the Jazz on 766. Honda’s Thai-built models performed strongly, with the Accord range accounting for 635 units and the four-door Civic GLi on 509. Honda Australia Director Lindsay Smalley said consumers were responding to the value and quality Thai-built cars offered. “Since the Thailand Free Trade Agreement we have been able to offer cars with our renowned Honda quality at very competitive prices.” “This result puts us well on target to achieve our sales goal of 41,000 units.”
