1st October, 2004 Honda Australia’s sales have bloomed this spring, with the company setting a September sales record of 3108 units, a 15 per cent rise from the same month last year. The strong result pushes year to date sales to 28,014 units – an increase of 25 per cent compared to the same time last year. The month saw strong across-the-board sales for Honda with the Accord (1107), CR-V (715), Jazz (536) and Civic (420) leading the way. Sales of the all-new Odyssey (240) remain strong in its third month on sale and the Civic Hybrid (41) continues to be favoured by environmentally-conscious buyers, having now exceeded (156) its yearly target of 100 units. Sales of the hybrid have been so strong that it has achieved its yearly target in the past four months alone. “We’re on track to setting an all-time sales record this year,” said Honda Australia Director Lindsay Smalley. “We have ’05 models of the CR-V, Jazz, MDX and Integra on the way in the last quarter and they will help push us to a best-ever yearly sales result.” “Our high equipment levels, affordability, quality and proven reliability are popular with customers.”
